7/24/10 FindTheTornado - The Latest Wx Update: Andy is taking a break and heading to the family lake cabin in northern Minnesota. It looks like severe weather threats are going to be pretty low the next several days so it should allow everyone at FindTheTornado to take some down time. Want to chat with us? Despite the slow time work is continuing to put the finishing touches on our 2010 tornadoes DVD and we are also preparing to make a run at a hurricane... Andy has talked about trying to find the art of being an "outer band" chaser and try to bag tornadoes along it so it should be interesting when and if that opportunity presents itself.

FindTheTornado wants to stress we condone chasing safely. We want to also alert to the public and others to the dangers of chasing, we spend time either reporting via SpotterNetwork, Phone, or Text to help the NWS. It is important for new chasers to understand storm chasers do more than just shoot video, they are a big help in saving lives and reporting the storms when severe weather strikes... please take the proper spotter courses and learn what you are looking at before you get out and clutter up the roads!
