The Storm Prediction Center publishes daily storm reports covering tornadoes, hail, and damaging winds across the contiguous U.S. The “today” file covers the current convective day (12:00 UTC to 12:00 UTC) — it is typically empty in the morning before noon UTC (approximately 7 AM CDT / 8 AM EDT).
EF ratings on preliminary reports are often listed as “EF-U” (unknown) until NWS meteorologists conduct a damage survey, which can take days to weeks.
